Offline Low-E Glass

Product Description

Low-E glass (low-emissivity coated glass) is a high-performance energy-saving product that involves depositing multiple layers of metal or compound films onto the glass surface before cooling, after which the coating becomes an integral part of the glass.‌Its coating maintains high visible light transmittance while selectively reflecting mid- and far-infrared radiation, significantly reducing heat transfer compared to ordinary glass. In winter, it minimizes indoor heat loss; in summer, it blocks external thermal radiation. Additionally, it can be combined with processes like tempering and lamination to meet the lighting and safety requirements of various architectural scenarios.

Product Features

1. By reflecting far-infrared radiation through the silver layer, it reduces indoor heat loss in winter and blocks external heat in summer, achieving significant energy-saving effects.

2. The light transmittance is adjustable, supporting varying shading coefficients (Sc 0.2–0.7) to meet diverse lighting requirements.

3. It can reduce noise by approximately 30 decibels, with enhanced performance when combined with inert gas filling.

4. Reduces building energy consumption, Lowers fuel usage, and minimizes harmful gas emissions.

5. Single-silver (5-layer coating), double-silver (9-layer coating), and triple-silver (13+ layer coating)—more silver layers result in stronger thermal insulation.

6. The silver layer is prone to oxidation and abrasion; it must be processed into insulating glass units (IGUs) and requires protective measures during transportation.
